Vision | Mission

PEACE’s VISION is a compassionate world for all sentient beings, supported by the ethics of veganism, and modeled by sustainable farm animal sanctuaries.

PEACE’s MISSION is uniting and working with farm animal sanctuaries through Resources, Rescues and Education.

RESOURCES

We are collecting free and discounted resources for Canadian Farm Animal Sanctuaries, from discounted lawyer fees to help sanctuaries get their charity status to free photographers and grant options for projects! These are all hosted for free on our website.

Also on our website: come find your local sanctuaries by region, resources if you would like to start a sanctuary yourself and so much more!

RESCUES

We started to help farm animal sanctuaries and farmed animals as we saw a need for an organization dedicated to helping with rescue and transport of farmed animals. We have acquired a truck to move smaller animals directly in an enclosed canopy and also support towing trailers to transport larger animals. We also have a dedicated PEACE trailer to be used by us for larger animal rescue transport as well as for sanctuaries to use.

When PEACE was found the beginning of 2019 we worked with Farm Animal Sanctuaries in British Columbia and expanded into Alberta later the same year. As of 2020 PEACE has expanded into Manitoba and we now work with Western Canada Farm Animal Sanctuaries.

Through our network of PEACE volunteers we are always expanding to build connections to help as many farmed animals and farm animal sanctuaries as we can.

EDUCATION

Our goal for the coming year is to develop humane education options for schools, promote plant-based vegan school options, find alternatives to farm days and chicken hatching as well as work with farm animal sanctuaries to offer school tours as some examples.

We also organize events, education classes and workshops for farm animal sanctuaries, the public, teachers and other non-profits. Please see our Events Calendar and Classes | Workshops for more details.
