Workaway

Workaway.info is a site set up to promote fair exchange and friendship as well as volunteering and work opportunities. Connecting culture seekers, budget travellers and language learners with families, individuals or organisations that are looking for help with a range of varied and interesting activities. Find and contact other like minded travellers across the globe. A few hours honest help per day in exchange for food & accommodation and an opportunity to meet others.

WWOOF Canada

WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms, Canada (WWOOF™ Canada) is part of a worldwide movement linking visitors with organic farmers and growers to promote cultural and educational experiences based on trust and non-monetary exchange thereby helping to build a sustainable global community. Visitors, or ‘WWOOFers’, spend about half of each day helping out on a host farm, learn about the organic movement and sustainable agriculture, and receive room and board during their visit – with no money exchanged between Hosts and WWOOFers. WWOOF Hosts offer a variety of educational opportunities, including growing vegetables, building straw bale houses, working with animals, making wine, and much more. There is something for everyone.

*Please note you do have to have a working organic vegetable garden on your property to qualify for this. Volunteers can work on it half their time, and the other half helping with the animals.
